Quickhash-GUI v3.3.1 Apple OSX
This download is for the Apple OSX Big Sur version of Quickhash-GUI. The download includes a 64-bit edition of the software as an .app file with accompanying user manual (in English - a French version is currently available too for French speaking users, HERE). Note this version will not work on earlier versions of OSX because Apple decided to move their static libraries to a linker cache. The last version of Quickhash-GUI that will work on older OSX systems is v3.2.0.
This new version includes several fixes to the v3.3.0 release and addresses several reported bugs
How to run :
- Download the zip
- Extract the content of the zip to your desktop or a folder in your user profile
- Grant execution permission for the extracted .app in your Apple security settings using : chmod +x Quickhash-GUI.app/Contents/MacOS/Quickhash-GUI.
- You may also have to allow "Apps downloaded from anywhere" in your security settings.
- Double click to launch

The permissions command “chmod +x Quickhash-GUI.app/Contents/MacOS/Quickhash-GUI” did not work. Neither did any commands to get around Gatekeeper in Big Sur. An old-school trick did work, though, to just change permissions on the application folder: “sudo chmod -R 777 /Applications/Quickhash-GUI-AppleOSX-v3.3.1”. Then I could double-click and allow permission through System Settings > Security, and choose Open in the subsequent warning “macOS cannot verify the developer … are you sure you want to open it?”
