This version has been superseded by v3.0.4

This is the new version of QuickHash-GUI v3.0.3 for Apple Mac OSX. It includes the user manual and an .app file. Download the zip file, extract the contents, copy the app file to your Applications folder ideally (if you have permission) or your Desktop folder otherwise. Then check the hashes using openssl and the SHA1 digest

At the terminal :

openssl sha1 /Applications/QuickHash.app/Contents/MacOS/QuickHash

Should return : 06d0faaea982fe09f32eb8532544c365442e7e35 (edit the path accordingly to wherever you have the extract copied to)

You may then be able to launch it just by doublers clicking it. Or you may have to tweak security settings. Holding down the Command key sometimes enables it to load but if not, in the security options of your Mac, you may need to allow execution of the program with it being downloaded from the Internet and not via the App Store.  So to avoid there message below, go to 'Security & Privacy' in OSX settings and click 'Open anyway' and then 'Open' if you see this :

OSX warning about unsafe version

Override security warning in OSX

Lastly ensure you grant executable permissions to the Quickhash.app/Contents/MacOS/Quickhash binary file

> chmod +x /Applications/QuickHash.app/Contents/MacOS/QuickHash

As of OSX High Sierra, you will get warnings that the program is not a 64-bit program because Apple are forcing all developers to only make 64-bit programs. I am unable to do that on OSX at the moment, so if it does not work for you, sorry.

The web hosting fees for this site are about £25 per month (hosting, load balancer, SSL certificate, routing, monitoring, health checks etc), and the code signing certificate costs about £220 a year, and the Sendowl platform costs $9 per month, so about £600 a year!!
